Collection 5: Between Surface and Self

This body of work asks what it means to be seen, a midlife pondering exploring the space between internal dialogue and external perception, between who we are, and who we think we should be.

In the blur of expectation and identity, this series becomes a quiet act of reclamation. It is about shifting our story, letting go of the surface narrative to reconnect with the beauty beneath.

The photographs were created using florals, glass and water, photographed outdoors. Images are blurred by gushing and rippling water poured across glass, the surface in constant motion, causing soft distortion. Others, beneath the weight of glass, forms warped under pressure.
